Frequently Asked Questions (FAQs)

We offer outpatient mental health counseling services including:

All services are provided online via a secure, HIPAA compliant telehealth platform.

We currently accept Aetna, Blue Cross Blue Shield and United Healthcare insurance plans, and we’re in the process of becoming credentialed with Medicare, and Medicaid.

If your insurance isn’t currently accepted, don’t worry—you can still receive care. We’re happy to provide a superbill that you can submit to your insurance for potential out-of-network reimbursement. We encourage you to check with your insurance provider about your benefits, and we’ll support you in any way we can.

Self-pay sessions are $150 for individuals and $180 for couples or families. We also offer a limited number of sliding scale spots.

If you don’t have insurance, or if we’re out-of-network with your plan, we can provide a superbill that you can submit to your insurance for possible reimbursement.

A superbill is a detailed receipt that you can submit to your insurance company for possible out-of-network reimbursement. It includes provider information, service codes, diagnosis codes, dates of service, and fees paid.

We provide verification of benefits (VOBs) to help you understand your coverage. However, reimbursement is not guaranteed and depends on your specific insurance plan. We still encourage you to contact your insurance provider directly to confirm your out-of-network mental health benefits and reimbursement details. You are responsible for submitting your superbill to your insurance company.

Standard therapy sessions are 50 minutes in length. This applies to individual, couples, and family sessions unless otherwise discussed with your clinician.

In some cases, extended sessions may be available based on clinical need and scheduling availability. Your therapist will talk with you if a different session length is recommended.

All services are provided via telehealth only. Clients must be physically located in the State of Texas at the time of their session.

Faith-Based Counseling – Additional FAQs

Faith-based counseling is a form of therapy that thoughtfully integrates your faith and spiritual beliefs into the counseling process—if and when you want it to. It honors both clinical best practices and the role that faith, values, and spirituality may play in your life, relationships, and healing journey.

In faith-based counseling, your therapist meets you where you are. This may include exploring how your beliefs shape your identity, coping skills, decisions, or relationships, or using prayer, scripture, or spiritual reflection as part of sessions when it aligns with your preferences. Faith is never forced or assumed; instead, it is used as a supportive resource alongside evidence-based therapeutic approaches.

Faith-based counseling is appropriate for individuals, couples, or families who want their spiritual beliefs respected and integrated into therapy in a safe, professional, and compassionate way. Our goal is to support your emotional, mental, and spiritual well-being while honoring your personal faith journey.

Yes! Faith-based counseling is completely optional and always client-led. You decide if and how your faith or spiritual beliefs are part of your counseling sessions. Your therapist will follow your lead, respecting your preferences and adjusting the approach at any time to fit your comfort and needs.

Faith may be incorporated in ways such as:
Clinicians will never impose religious beliefs or practices.

You don’t need to have strong or consistent faith to benefit from Christian counseling. In a safe, non-judgmental space, you can explore questions, doubts, or struggles with your faith at your own pace, and your therapist will support you wherever you are on your spiritual journey.

Yes! All of our clinicians can offer faith-integrated counseling if that’s something you’d like. We’ll help you find a provider who aligns with your preferences and feels like a good fit for you.

Yes! Christian counseling can be part of couples therapy to explore shared values, work through faith-related challenges, deepen spiritual connection, or align on life goals—always with both partners’ consent. Our goal is to support you together in a safe, respectful, and compassionate way.

No. Christian counseling complements—not replaces—evidence-based therapeutic approaches. All treatment remains clinically sound, ethical, and aligned with professional licensing standards.

We respect the many ways Christian faith is expressed. Your counseling will focus on your beliefs and values, not on the clinician’s personal theology, so you can explore your faith in a safe, supportive space.

Yes! Prayer can be included in counseling, but only if you request it and if it supports your therapy goals. You are never required to participate—your comfort and preferences always come first.

Yes! Christian counseling sessions follow the same confidentiality standards as all mental health services, fully in line with HIPAA and Texas state law, so your privacy is always protected.
